The Hotel’s Window
One thing is for sure: this Tuscan view doesn’t fit the cliché of Renaissance architecture or sun-kissed countryside landscapes often associated with the region. From Hotel Principe Forte dei Marmi, guests are treated to panoramic views that stretch from the white-washed Apuan Alps to the soothing blue waters of the Ligurian Sea, unveiling a lesser-known (yet fascinating) Tuscany.

Insider’s Knowledge
To learn more about this Tuscan Riviera gem, we turned to Linda Pedonese, who oversees Marketing affairs at the hotel. She finds Forte dei Marmi one of Italy’s most fascinating seaside villages, and Hotel Principe Forte dei Marmi the ideal address to turn any visit into a dreamful stay.

The hotel’s rooftop is where the magic happens. Up there is where we have our lounge bar and the Michelin-star restaurant Lux Lucis. Comfortably seated at the tables of our bar, it is possible to look at the coast of Versilia, admiring its incomparable beauty. On the other side, at the Lux Lucis, the view opens onto the imposing Apuan Alps, the birthplace of the world-renowned Carrara marble often referred to as Tuscany’s white gold. The light-colored stone gives the mountain range a look as though they are covered in snow year-round.

At Hotel Principe Forte dei Marmi we have two very special accommodation types: the so-called ‘Open Space’ and ‘The Spatio.’
The Spatio
Overlooking the Apuan Alps, this is the hotel’s presidential suite, which certainly lives up to the title. From its private balcony, guests leaving bed early can witness the sun gently rising behind the mountains, allowing for a spectacular waking experience.
The Open Space
Also featuring glorious views of the Apuan Alps and the hotel’s manicured gardens, this executive suite is an excellent option for those wishing to combine comfort and impressive vistas. Like all the hotel’s 28 rooms and suites, the Open Space was carefully subjected to the intervention of one of the best Italian designers.

Apart from checking into one of our suites with views, guests are invited to book a table at Lux Lucis restaurant, where they will be able to savor the creations of Chef Valentino Cassanelli while being surrounded by the natural view of the Apuan Alps. In addition, we also encourage experiencing a romantic dinner at our beach club Dalmazia, right in front of the sea.

At Hotel Principe Forte dei Marmi, we believe luxury is found in every tiny detail, in the exclusive and personal service provided to each guest, in the constant attention to its needs, and in the furnishings, which are always well cared for. Ultimately, luxury is what stands out but must not be ostentatious, it is refinement and elegance.
Hotel’s Location
This five-star hotel is directly located in Forte dei Marmi, only steps away from the beach. The Florence Airport is probably the best option if you're flying in. Forte dei Marmi is halfway between Cinque Terre/La Spezia and Livorno. Driving time from Florence is about one hour and a half, while Lucca and Pisa are both under an hour's drive away.
