The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto, undeniably one of the best hotels in Toronto, lives up to the standard guests have come to expect from the brand. With some of the finest views in the city from spacious and elegant guest rooms and suites (the higher, the better), guests can feast their eyes on Lake Ontario, Toronto’s iconic CN Tower, and Toronto's skyline. An alternative viewing point is the hotel’s fifth-floor saltwater pool, framing postcard-perfect vistas of Toronto and the prominent CN Tower. If those sights make you wonder what the view is from Toronto’s most recognizable landmarks, we suggest experiencing the nearby CN Tower’s EdgeWalk. The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto, is ideally found in the Entertainment District, just across the street from the lively David Pecaut Square and Roy Thomson Hall; guests are a few steps away from multiple theaters, restaurants, bars, shopping, and prime attractions.

As you plan your Toronto stay, we are happy to introduce you to the luxurious Shangri-La Toronto, among the best hotels in the city. Guests staying here will be pampered for choice regarding rooms and suites, with most 202 units presenting the glittering skyline through floor-to-ceiling windows; some upscale suites even offer a private terrace and a panoramic view bathtub facing the ever-busy University Avenue. One of our favorite venues at the Shangri-La Toronto is its health club, featuring a 20-meter indoor pool and state-of-the-art gym equipment, all set in the context of a striking Toronto view. The hotel’s location is in Toronto’s Entertainment District and only steps away from the Financial District, making it a natural choice for those visiting Canada’s largest city for leisure or business. Notorious Toronto attractions such as Nathan Phillips Square, the hip Queen Street West, and the Hockey Hall of Fame are only a short stroll away.

Shining is business as usual for the InterContinental Toronto Centre, an IHG Hotel, despite being in the shadow of Toronto's iconic CN Tower. As expected, such a privileged position ensures scenic vistas from many of the hotel’s 584 rooms and windows, including the tower sitting around the corner and Lake Ontario. Another vital asset of this four-star hotel is its strategic location by Toronto’s Entertainment and Financial districts, steps away from the Union Station (with a direct rail link to Toronto Pearson International Airport through the Union Pearson Express), the Scotiabank Arena, the Rogers Centre stadium, and the train-themed Roundhouse Park. In addition, having Toronto’s happening Theatre District at your doorstep is always appreciated. Should guests ever find themselves overwhelmed by all the surrounding action, the hotel’s indoor pool will be the ideal venue to unwind and disconnect from the bustling metropolitan Toronto.

We are guessing that your idea of a perfect stay in Toronto involves a room with a CN Tower view. Should our guess prove true, you should consider Delta Hotels by Marriott Toronto, one of our favorite picks in “The 6iX,” as Toronto is also affectionately called. Located in downtown Toronto, only a short walk from Ripley's Aquarium of Canada, the CN Tower, and Union Station, this four-star property is directly connected to the PATH, Toronto’s busy underground network of shops and walkways. For those planning to stay longer, the fully-serviced Extended Stay Suites are their best bet; for all others, picking any of the guest rooms with a lake or skyline view will fit the bill. When night falls and the city skyscrapers start to scintillate, head to the hotel’s indoor heated pool and jacuzzi, and take in the urban views enhanced by the floor-to-ceiling windows. To avoid getting too relaxed and soft in the name of appreciating the fabulous city views, pass by the fully-equipped Delta Fitness Centre, which is open around the clock and also boasts excellent vistas.

“Good night, Toronto,” might be your last words before turning off the lights and taking a last glimpse at the CN Tower through your room’s window. Consistently pointed out in reviews as one of the best hotels in Toronto with a view worth remembering, the Hyatt Regency Toronto is a typical city center hotel, where no-frills comfort and location play the most critical role. When planning your stay, take note that rooms are categorized according to the views they offer; it goes without saying that the ones stating a CN Tower view are the ones we’d pick. When lodging at this address, keep in mind that you’ll be at the very heart of the Entertainment District, only a short stroll away from cultural gems like the Princess of Wales Theatre, the Royal Alexandra Theatre, and the TIFF Bell Lightbox movie theatre complex, not to mention endless eateries and bars.

Regarded by many as Toronto’s best hotel, The St. Regis Toronto is the Marriott’s crown jewel in the city, qualifying for a memorable stay for those checking in at this extraordinary property. It starts with the hotel’s height, which soars 65 floors above the ground, ensuring eye-popping vistas of Toronto’s skyline and as far as the eye can reach. Cherry-picking between the 258 guest rooms and 124 upscale suites proves challenging; however, because of its sweeping vistas, we’d say the corner suites take our preference. Ironically, despite the hotel being harbored in one of Canada’s tallest buildings, the iconic sight of the CN Tower is obstructed by surrounding skyscrapers. Still, think twice before letting the disappointment sink; not only the hotel features a fitness center with great views, but we’re also confident that a visit to the hotel’s stunning Louix Louis restaurant, planted on the 31st floor, will change your perception in a heartbeat. The décor is gorgeous, the panoramic views are second-to-none, and so are the fine delicacies that made this one of Toronto’s most famous restaurants; visiting for a weekend brunch or romantic dinner would be our top choice. The St. Regis Toronto is located in what is known as Old Toronto, in the city’s Financial District, just moments away from the beautiful redbrick Gooderham Building.

They say one only has a chance to strike a great impression, which is precisely the case with the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, a landmark hotel that opened its doors in 1929, only four months before the Great Crash. Dubbed the largest and best hotel in the British Empire when it debuted in Toronto’s hospitality scene almost one hundred years ago, the Fairmont Royal York Hotel has endured over the years and kept its immaculate reputation while welcoming heads of state and celebrities. Fast-forwarding to the present day, a new concept has been introduced: the Fairmont Gold. The innovative approach has a clear goal: to replicate a luxurious boutique hotel experience despite the colossal size of the hotel. It begins at the 18th-floor Fairmont Gold Lounge, where guests are invited to mingle or simply relax by the fireplace; it then continues into the lavish rooms, where a combination of features like marble bathrooms, aromatherapy showers, and fully-stocked bars win guests over. The ultimate perk, we’d say, is the fascinating Toronto view hidden behind the curtains. In the dining department, patrons won’t be disappointed when having a drink at the historic Library Bar or sampling local flavors at the REIGN restaurant. The Fairmont Royal York Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the Financial District, just across the street from Union Station, which began operating only a couple of years before the hotel.

Here’s a longtime favorite for those visiting Toronto on short or long stays. The highly-praised, consistently well-reviewed four-star One King West Hotel and Residence sits in Toronto’s Financial District, ruling over the intersection of Yonge Street and King Street West. Its ideal location in downtown Toronto, close to the Brookfield Place complex and several other Toronto attractions, only partially explains its resounding success. With many looking for fully-serviced suites and the flexibility it provides, the all-suite One King West Hotel and Residence is a natural choice. On top of this, the on-site, showstopping Toronto skyline and lake views enjoyed from the tower suites (especially from the 40th floor up) lead guests to fantasize about how living in Toronto would be, making it the ultimate staycation experience.

The four-star Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel is one of Toronto’s most favored hotels, and it’s to understand why: spot on location in the Financial District, just opposite the bustling Nathan Phillips Square, and allowing for easy access to Rogers Centre. If you’re something of a digital nomad (or at least are often required to work from your laptop), take our word for it and book a room with access to the spectacular 43rd-floor Sheraton Club Lounge. There, you’ll find ample space to work from while surrounded by magnificent views of Toronto. There is an on-site self-serve station and various seating options to make your session more productive and pleasant. When staying at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, don’t miss out on the opportunity to enjoy a great view from the privacy of your room. For instance, the large-sized Premium Suite, among our favorite accommodations in this property, sometimes feels more like an observation deck than a hotel room.

Another Toronto hotel with the right to brag about its fantastic views is the Hilton Toronto, planted on Toronto’s Finacial District, just across the street from the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, an institution well-loved by Torontonians. While some rooms offer uninterrupted vistas of the CN Tower, not all offer this privilege to guests; still, most display captivating views of Toronto’s impressive skyline and an occasional glimpse of the lake. If you visit Toronto under freezing temperatures (from November to March, chances are high), ending your day soaking in the indoor pool will feel like a heavenly gift.

With rooms overlooking Queen's Quay West, it is fair to say that at the four-star Radisson Blu Downtown Toronto, guests will find another great Toronto hotel view up for grabs, particularly for those deciding to go with a King lake-facing room. Weather permitting, lounging at the hotel’s pool with the CN Tower on the backdrop is an experience that shouldn’t be missed. This Toronto hotel is within walking distance from many city attractions, namely the Harbourfront Centre, the Toronto Music Garden, and the CF Toronto Eaton Centre, one of Toronto's largest shopping malls.

If a lake view is on the agenda for your upcoming stay in Toronto, The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto, is one of our stronger contenders to host you. What do you get when erecting a skyscraper on a lake's shores? Bingo, second-to-none water views. Upon making your reservation, you’ll notice that most room types offer that much-desired lake view; with that said, some units provide city views, but those aren’t our favorite ones here (there are better hotels for striking city vistas). The hotel presides over Harbour Square Park and is only steps away from the Toronto Island Ferry, which we advise you to take; the skyline views from Toronto Island are epic, particularly when admired from Algonquin Island Park.

Playing at home, the Canadian Four Seasons hospitality brand knew the stakes were high for debuting its hotel in Toronto. As expected, it delivered. Consistently ranked as one of Toronto’s top hotels, the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto at Yorkville excels in the art of welcoming guests on its premises. The hotel is planted in the affluent Yorkville area, which has evolved into one of the best neighborhoods in Toronto, with abundant high-end shops, trendy eateries, gorgeous homes, and manicured gardens; it’s fair to say that no visit to Toronto is complete without strolling through the glamorous Bloor Street's "Mink Mile." The hotel is also a stone’s throw from the unmissable, futuristic Royal Ontario Museum. Back to the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto at Yorkville, the rooms and suites are up to the highest standards, with the expansive Royal and Presidential suites stealing the scene. As for what’s beyond the windows, visitors are treated to soothing views of the surrounding greenery of the Rosedale area, partially interrupted by the occasional skyscraper; from a restricted number of rooms, the CN Tower can also be spotted. In the dining department, there are notes of French influence across all dining venues. The last word goes to the hotel’s multi-awarded spa, offering various services ranging from massages to gentlemen’s treatments.

Think of an urban hotel where sustainability and blending in with the natural elements are an obsession. That is the case with the five-star 1 Hotel Toronto, a stylish address in Toronto’s Fashion District. The hotel’s design takes inspiration from Lake Ontario, as materialized by the wooden finishings in the bed frames or the original toiletries trunk holder. The interaction with the hotel surroundings continues in the form of magnificent skyline and water views; speaking of this, the panoramic vistas available from the hotel’s rooftop bar are legendary, greeting guests with a scenic view of Toronto’s glittering skyline, dominated by the CN Tower, and Lake Ontario to the south. All rooms and suites are elegant and airy, dominated by earthly elements and a soothing palette of tones - not to mention floor-to-ceiling windows and rain showers. Should a terrace be on your wishlist, you can’t go wrong when picking a Terrace Studio Suite for your next Toronto stay.

At first glance, the Hotel X Toronto by Library Hotel Collection captures bypassers with its ultra-modern looks and bolding architecture. Once inside, glass is king, and as a result, the views of Lake Ontario, Toronto’s fascinating skyline, and the CN Tower are present from virtually every angle. If you’re wondering which room or suite to book to get your fair share of perfect vistas, worry not; all accommodations come with this ultimate perk and allow perfect-picture opportunities. Perhaps the most striking element of this hotel is the year-round The Pond Rooftop Pool and Falcon SkyBar on the 28th floor, an ideal spot to unwind alongside panoramic Toronto sights. But there is more. In the athletics department, the 10XTO complex allows guests to work out next to inspiring Toronto views, either from the gym, the indoor tennis courts, or the yoga studio. The reward? We’d say enjoying a drink on the 29th floor, where 360-views over Toronto await. Regarding location, the Hotel X Toronto by Library Hotel Collection sits in the Niagara neighborhood, nested between Exhibition Place and Coronation Park; across the nearby Garrison Common lies Toronto’s Fashion District.
